REALTRAPS ANNOUNCES BARETRAPS - OUR MOST AFFORDABLE BASS TRAPS EVER

Our usual pricing uses the ".99" marketing penny, but we can't do that for BareTraps because we need every penny of profit!

New Milford, CT, USA - November 10, 2009 - RealTraps has announced their new BareTraps. At only $100 each, these are the most affordable bass traps we have ever offered.

BareTraps are similar to our popular MiniTraps. Each unit is 2 by 4 feet by 3-1/4 inches thick and weighs 18 pounds [Metric: 61 x 122 x 8 cm, 8 kg]. There are a few small cosmetic differences that let us sell these "bare necessities" for half the price.

Like MiniTraps, BareTraps are real membrane bass traps having the same high absorption at low frequencies that RealTraps is famous for. BareTraps are available in both Standard and High Frequency styles, for corner bass trapping and reflection control respectively. Color choices are black, white, and wheat (off-white).

According to RealTraps co-owner Ethan Winer, "All of us at RealTraps worked very hard to develop a new bass trap that will appeal to people on a tight budget, while keeping all of the quality RealTraps is known for."

So what did we leave out of this "bare bones" trap? Not much! BareTraps have the same solid metal frame as MiniTraps, but without the fancy side slots. They have four holes in the rear for attaching hanging wires, but no cross bars for mounting on our RealTraps Stands, microphone stands, or with Post Base Kits. Note that BareTraps are sold in pairs only, to reduce the cost of shipping and packaging.

In this "bare market" economy, everyone wants a bargain! But the performance of BareTraps is first-rate, as you'd expect from RealTraps. And that's what matters most for folks on a budget. You also get the same expert advice that's made RealTraps so highly praised by dozens of famous recording engineers.

RealTraps is owned by Ethan Winer and Doug Ferrara. Ethan is known throughout the audio industry for his many technical articles in audio and computer magazines, and he has engineered and produced several classical music CDs, including a recording of his own cello concerto. Doug is a professional musician and recording engineer who holds an advanced degree in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic, and is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. Previously he was a systems engineer for Motorola.
